| Maryland's first lady is in hot
water after stating at an anti-violence conference she
would like to shoot pop star Britney Spears.
"Really, if I had an opportunity to shoot Britney
Spears, I think I would," Kendel Ehrlich, wife of Gov.
Robert Ehrlich, told the crowd attending a
domestic-violence prevention summit at Hood College in
Frederick, Md.
The former prosecutor made the comment as part of her
condemnation of the entertainment industry's negative
influence on youth. She accused 21-year-old Spears of
exaggerating the importance of sex for young girls.
