Full Moon Rising - Duluth Harbor
According to folklore, tonight's full moon is called the Worm Moon. It heralds warm Spring days, thawing ground, earthworms and robins. I staked out a spot near the cement elevator west of Bayfront Park for these photos. The gate was open. I needed 4WD to get in to the site. All of the "No Trespassing" warning signs were 30 feet up on the raised gate, so I went for it. I kicked off a mature mating pair of Canada Geese from my vantage point. They were not happy.

The mature mating pair of Canada geese who were none too happy that I took their spot. The same Canada geese, drifting in front of some grain towers. They were very vocally opposed to me being there.

The Aerial Lift Bridge in dusk light. I opened up my lens on this photo. Looks like daylight, but it was 30 minutes past sunset.
The full moon rose well south of
where I thought it would...
...Right above a nice foreground of the Duluth Harbor Dredge, H.J. Schwartz.
See the moon rise in the next 5 photos...
...taken 15 seconds apart
This is the "winner" photo of the night.

I was technically trespassing on this photo site. If a cop actually wanted to make his or her day, they would not have made it in to tell me I was in trouble unless they had a Suburban or a Yukon or something. I think they have bigger fish to fry. I hope they usually do...
