Wisconsin Point
The last time I was on Wisconsin Point was 19 years ago in the Fall of 1986 for Escape and Evasion Training for Air Force ROTC. I disabled two booby traps before I was ambushed by two senior cadets halfway through the exercise. It was fun, actually. Visiting again, I was unimpressed. Garbage, beer bottles and cans were everywhere, and it looked like hell. Not the jewel that it could be, that is for sure. The Fond du Lac Chippewa Burial Ground looked like a trash heap. Actually, it was a trash heap. From what I understand, offering tobacco to your ancestors is very spiritual. But maybe you shouldn't leave the plastic bags that the tobacco came in...
