Shooting On Fox Farm Road
North of Duluth, MN
I was sighting in a new load for my Remington 700 Sendero .300 WinMag. I bought a boatload of Winchester Super-X 180-grain Power-Points for general shooting. These rounds printed quite nicely through this gun.

"Sniper in the treeline..." My new Bushrag ghillie suit looks good. Strap some dead grass and a branch or two on the rifle and this will work just great. (No, I didn't install a new 48" barrel on the Sendero...that is just what a 16mm super-wide-angle lens does) You can see my target in the distance set at 400 yards. There was a large, folded-up piece of diamond plate next to it that I fired three rounds into. It was actually aluminum diamond plate that someone else was shooting at and left it. Even if it was steel, it would not deflect or blunt a 180-grain bullet at this range. They are still going about 2500 feet per second at 400 yards. It would perforate about 20 layers of this plate.
Closeup view of the target shown in the photo that is above right. You can now see the diamond plate to the left of it. Who needs custom handloads when factory ammo shoots this good? This is the second 400-yard target result. The one flier at low left was my fault. Otherwise the group was just under one minute of angle. The X-ring is 3" from the outside edge to edge.
Target through the Leupold Mark4 LR/T 4.5x14 scope. My camera was way behind the eye relief zone, so it looks like a poor view. But it's not! My NRC target after shooting my Remington 870 shotgun with a load of 7-1/2 birdshot followed by a round of 00-buck (nine pellets) from 50 feet. Blind and stun the perp first with the birdshot, and if he continues to cause a major problem, punch nine .33-caliber (0.33") holes through his chest to allow him to meet his maker. I would not want to be on the receiving end of this! See the video below to see the shotgun in action (note the reduced recoil from the new stock...these are full-house 00-buck rounds):
